Moab!

We headed down south for some sun and fun. We camped in the Sand Flats area in Moab for Memorial Weekend. While we did have some fun, we certainly didn't get much sun. It was cold and rainy almost the whole weekend. Once again, (I guess in wishful thinking) I didn't bring enough warm clothes - or enough clothes in Juliana's case. Seriously, must we change 15 times a day??

I absolutely love Moab. I haven't been there in over 15 years - and now I have been three times this year. I think I found my new hot spot for camping! LOVE IT!

The weather warmed up Sunday (of course it would). I wanted to take photos of my children in their cute Sunday dresses. I have a friend that manages to take darling photos of her three children looking at the camera, loving each other and smiling. I manage to have three uncooperative children who don't look at the camera, don't sit where they are told and don't smile. I end up swearing. And this was one of the good ones too.

After church, we drove into Arches and walked around some. We had some laughs and enjoyed the beauty. Daren wanted in this photo - but it was a "couples" only photo. He got mad and said, "Just because I haven't found my special someone!" Someday you can be in the photo Daren...someday.
At this point, Daren decided to have a photo shoot including shots of him rock climbing and being a hero. That got real old real quick. Click here if you have plenty of time and wish to view the entire album. This is just one of the many, many photos I have of Daren.
This photo was taken by a far-en-er (foreigner). There are a lot of them in Arches National Park - you would think it was Disneyland.

Holy Moab Trips Batman!

You really are getting some good trips down there!

Love the pictures! It looks like you all had a lot of fun! I especially love the story about trying to get pictures of your kids. Your comment, "I end up swearing." had me laughing out loud.

Love the post! Love your kids! Love you!

I absolutely feel your pain with the taking photos of children fiasco! I don't know what we'll do when we have another one to corral! I'm thinking Kati (I assume that's who you were talking about) must drug her kids or something. Just kidding Kati! :)

Looks like such a fun trip! I really need some good old fashioned family bonding. IN MOAB!

Your Moab posts have really got me itchin to go! I have not been for a few years and I would love to go again this year. I think it is a must! Love you and hopefully we will see you on Monday for FHE:)

Looks like you had a really fun trip. I have only been to Moab once and it was a lot of fun. Your girls dresses are really cute. By the way I just remembered that you tagged me. I will do that later today!

Such a fun trip! I clicked on the rest of the pics, did none of the three cousin pictures turn out?! I am glad that I finally got to experience Moab, considering you were on your third time this year!

Can't help but love that place. The trip was great and Daren not being allowed in the couples only picture was priceless. Someday the two of us will be there, even if it is only him and I as the couple. Awesome weekend!!

Looks like fun. I can't believe it wasn't warm...isn't Moab always hot. Your pics of the kids are cute even if they are crying and you are swearing!

How fun! I love the Moab area too. I love, love, love your girls' dresses. They're adorable!

If it makes you feel any better, it seems to be physically impossible for me to get any good pics of my kids. You can check out my last post for proof-the pics were atrocious (that's actually the reason I post pics so rarely, I have a way hard time finding any good ones:P).
