March Events

Don't forget to see previous blog - that really sums our month up! But before Juliana broke her leg, she was into her many outfits. I love this "cheer" outfit with the goggles. Such class! I finally had to hide that outfit because it was about 12 months too small!
This photo was quite funny - Juliana locked herself in our car! Jake had gone into the car to put something away. While the door was opened, Juiliana got in and Jake shut the door. She then stepped on the lock and found herself stuck. Sad thing was, the keys were in the car! I had to call Jeff to come and get her out. We tried to talk her into unlocking the door, but she wasn't interested.
Also, we are counting down for baby #3. This photo was taken at 37 weeks...we are now at 39 weeks and still waiting! Will post any announcement soon!

Broken Leg and Cute outfits!

WHAT A WEEK!! Poor little Juliana broke her little leg on Tuesday but we thought it was an ankle injury. We even went to the swimming pool the next morning but called the doctor when she wouldn't put her foot down. He looked at it and sent us for x-rays. Well, that "ankle" injury was actually TWO broken bones on her right shin! Poor girl! She was a trooper and hardly cried. We got a splint on her leg then we got a cute little pink cast on Friday! She is finally starting to walk on her leg and getting around.

Sweets for the Sweets

We took the children to the Sweet's Candy Factory this past week. We ordered 10 tickets and ended up with 19 people - word spreads quick for free candy! The tour was very interesting. We learned how they make taffy, jelly beans, cinnamon bears, chocolate orange sticks and chocolate nut clusters. Of course, the free samples were an added bonus! I thought it was interesting that the chocolate machine needs to be cleaned after every shift. BUT they don't clean it with water - they clean the machine with CHOCOLATE!!! That is a messy job! We got all sorts of free candy samples. Juliana was in HEAVEN! I, of course, spent $17 at the candy store! AHH!! It was great! We had such a wonderful time. I recommend this special outing to everyone!

Fun in March

These are just a few photos of Miss Juliana playing in the hammock. She also LOVES to wear her swimsuit and go swimming in the hot tub. She says, "HOT TWOO!!!" and stamps her foot. She could spend all hours in the hot tub if her mother would let her. She's getting so big!

Oh SO HANDSOME! (And Cute.)

I decided to go and get the children's yearly photos. My mother did this every year for our birthdays and I love looking at how much I had grown. However, I am beginning to realize just how pricy this little "tradition" is - thanks Mom. Anyway, I carry on because that's what good mothers do. We went to Fotogenix because I think they are very artistic and have reasonable prices. Plus, Jeff's sister just started working there - but we didn't get to see her. Anyway, Juliana was quite tempermental and ended up with several photos that were worthly of "hate mail." (She has a famous "go-to-you-know-where" look!) This one, however, was quite charming and shows her at her best. I happen to be tending my nephew Jackson for the weekend. He was strapped down in the stroller so tight I thought his circulation would be cut off. He managed to escape THREE TIMES! (He could get a job as a magician or something.) He then knocked over TWO studio lights and disappeared once. That's when the photographer tried to get both Jake and Juliana together...DIDN'T WORK! Juliana was finished "smiling" and Jackson was convinced he should be in the photo. I told the photographer to just forget the two together and get Jake. He, being as photogenic as a model, was a breeze but it took me a few long hours to decide which photo to purchase. After this two hour ordeal, I was glazed over and exhausted. I hope you enjoy looking at these - I don't think I will be doing again any time soon!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I always love Valentine's Day - despite the sales and ads. I love having a day set aside to give my love to all my family and friends. (Of course, some years are more elaborate than others...) This year was very low key. Jeff made us very elegant and DELICIOUS "Cognac-Peppered" steaks, asparagus, potatoes and salad. We got the recipe from the paper and Jeff said he wanted to try it. He even went to the liquor store to purchase the cognac - except it was $32 a bottle...too pricy for ONE MEAL! (Of course, if we drank, it would be well worth it!) So, we googled cognac and found that apricot, pear or peach juice is a substitute. (Who knew?) However, we substituted again because we didn't have any juice - but we did have apricot jam!?? It worked wonders and Jeff created a delicous meal. I fed the kids early and put a movie on so we could have some nice dinner conversation, however, Juliana (having the fine taste in food that she does) kept coming up to sample the dinner. We still had a great evening, especially since Jeff cooked and cleaned. What a treat! Thanks Jeff! PS - if you want the recipe, just let me know. Really - it was incredible.

The last picture is one of Juliana's outfits - she really should start hitting the catwalk - this girl has taste!!

ALOHA!

Jeff and I spent a wonderful few days in Maui, Hawaii! It cured my "SAD" that the doctor said I had...nothing feels better than sand, sun and water! Even if you are pregnant! We had a wondeful vacation - we just wish we could go back tomorrow.

Random Photos

Just some random January photos. I love the one of Jake's feet! He got ahold of the camera and produced some interesting shots!

Here comes our Diva!

Juliana's little personality is full of fire! She LOVES clothes! These are just two of the outfits she has put together. Most of the time she just brings me the clothes to wear - to which I put them on to avoid a fight. But these photos are of when she dressed herself! Charming! As you can see, she threw a fit when she thought Dad was going to take them off! The next two are of Jake playing ball and of Juliana's poor black eye, although it is hard to see because of the light.

Superman Birthday!

Up, Up and AWAY! We were bombarded with Supermans and other superheros (princesses if you were a girl!) this Tuesday! Jake celebrated his 5th birthday (WOW - time flies!) We played Keep Away Kryptonite, Balloon Blast, had a jumphouse and a pinata. We even had a SPECIAL guest! SUPERMAN himself! (Although the kids commented he was too "skinny" and too "brown" to be Superman...) They all had a lot of fun! Happy Birthday Jake!

Temple Square

We had a blast at Temple Square looking at the lights! Merry Christmas!
