Daren at Martha's Vineyard
This house is so cool!!!! There is a large block on Martha's Vineyard that holds several houses just like this. There was a large Methodist Camp in 1841. They built seveal houses then painted them different colors so each person would know which was theirs. It was fun to walk the block or two and see all the colors.

Jake with a Patriot
This story is funny. We visited an old cemetary - very, very interesting. Juliana took her doll. After awhile, I noticed that it was missing. We couldn't find it anywhere! Finally, after a few minutes of searching, we found it proped up against a tombstone.
These tombs were sadly disturbed throughout the years by this very large tree.

Pizzeria Reginas!! Just like heaven!!!! I absolutely LOVED...LOVED this place. The best pizza ever. We ate there twice. I had to, it was amazing.
We ate dinner at Joe's house after church on Sunday. He too, was amazing. It was an honor to meet him.
This is Dad, Mom and Ryan chilling in a pew at the North Church. This church, for those of you who don't know, played a large part in the start of the Revolutionary War. The pastor used the steple as a form of communication to communicate to Paul Revere. As Henry Longfellow said in his famous poem - "one if by land, two if by sea." The pastor placed two lantern in the steple. Revere then knew the British were crossing the Charlestown River. He set off on horseback to alert the countrymen of the British's arrival. Pretty cool story. Cool church too.
This is us aboard the USS Constiution - the oldest and still functioning ship in Navy history.

This is us touring the Mayflower 2, an exact replica of the original mayflower of 16-something. There were approximately 25 people on this boat the time we were touring it. The origianal group consisted of about 100 people! I certainly could not have made that voyage. Especially since the passengers were forbidden on deck....ugh!

Jake at Fenway park. We all really wanted to see a Red Sox game - but they weren't playing at home the week we visited. Jake, of course, is now a Red Sox fan. We bought a t-shirt to prove it!
This is a great family that Daren was able to baptise. What a pillar of faith these two people have. I was so impressed with them.

Labor Day 2007

PICK OF THE WEEK!

Cousin Brian was secretly hoping to make the blog this week. Well, maybe "secretly" wasn't the right word. He hinted a couple of times. I wanted to make his wish come true - so here you go buddy! We got together and played a fun game of softball over Labor Day weekend. It was too short because we had to hurry up to Uncle Joe and Aunt Ann's cabin for FHE. But we had a blast. Even the kids had fun pretending to play baseball. But they quickly tired and found another method of fun: riding the wagon down the grass hill!

Twilight Quiz

Sydney had this quiz on her blog. I knew I had to try the quiz since I haven't had a free moment since Twilight books have taken over my life! (Sad..but true.) So, I found out I am most like Edward. Why? Who knows. But I thought all you Twilight fans would be interested in knowing that!
Click here to take the quiz. I promise you won't regret wasting a few moments! But if you do, don't complain on my blog.
