Sitting by my la-la, waiting for my Ya-Ya!

Our Stylin' Girl!

Juliana is ALWAYS into something! I love her personality - I couldn't ask for a better girl! She has officially named herself Ya Ya. Unfortunately, the name has stuck and we all call her that, including her friends in nursery. I just hope you don't receive a wedding invitation (obviously in the future) announcing the marriage of "YA YA!!!" Sounds like she should be French or something!

AHH!!! Caught ya! She was eating her share of cookies and lovin every minute!

Fun at the pool

We spent the day up at the pool last week. The kids loved the slide - here are some of their tricks:

SUMMER

"You know, summer is the best." Jake Wright

Jake claims that summer is the best. Well it is! We love the heat, the sun and the fun. Here are a couple of photos of his T-ball games. I love the one with his mit over his eyes. He held it there for a LONG time. If they aren't picking their nose, they are fighting over the ball. Isn't this a great sport? :-)

My little adrenaline junkie - Juliana is awesome on the tube! I thought she would be scared but she kept saying, "This is fun. Go fast." So, we went fast! Real fast! At one point, I sat up to readjust and I fell in the water. She fell in right after me. She was crying so I said it was time to get back in the boat. That made her quite upset! She screamed, "NOOO!!! I WANT TO RIDE MORE!" So, back on the tube we went! She is a girl after my own heart!
This is her crying because she had to get back in the boat! I swear she is part fish.

Cherry Pickers...

High-Ho the Cherry Oh!

Our cherry tree produced a great crop this year. I had this great idea to have Jake sell the cherries, but we actually ate them before he could sell them. They sure were good!

This was after the cherry picken time. Just how many Wrights does it take to bathe a baby? Apparently all of us!
This is Ya-Ya at the pool. Safety first...

Yuba Fun!

A day at the lake is better than none!

We went to Yuba Lake the first weekend in June with the Wright Clan. We experienced a small tragedy: Mom FORGOT JULIANA'S SWIMSUIT!!! AHHHH!!! Luckily, Aunt Kate is resourceful and devised a swimsuit for Juliana. It probably won't make it into the fashion magazines, but it stopped the screaming! It was a wonderful weekend.

Long time, no blog!

Update:

I have had a very, very busy couple of weeks. We had to prepare the yard and house for a Bunco party and the baby blessing - those little "deadlines" are sooo helpful! Now that things are starting to slow down, I can post photos. I can, however, only post five at a time...annoying, I know. So, here is the pletheria of photos over the past couple of weeks!Cute photo of YaYa at Uncle Joe and Aunt Ann's Cabin. We get together with the Lifferth family every month for FHE. It is a great tradition - we love it up there! The kids love the zip line and the tire swing. It's a great tradition.
Matt and Steph before lunch.
Lucky's famous saying "Oh, come on!" Can you hear him saying it?
Scott, Karalee and my cousins Jamie and Brian Smiley
Little Jackson with his many scars - each tell a story and usually his dad Scott is behind it! :-)

Adalyn's Baby Blessing

Adalyn's Day

We blessed Adalyn on Sunday. It was a wonderful afternoon. Jeff is a wonderful father and I am so honored to do this "childrearing" with him. He is a great man and we are blessed that he holds the priesthood in our home. Adalyn was perfect during the blessing. She is an amazing little girl - we are so lucky to have her in our home! We had a great afternoon with all our family and friends that could come. Thank you for your love and support! Most of the Wright Clan.
We are only missing Elder Lifferth. That's ok- Jake gives us what Daren can't! (moodiness??)
Our beautiful baby Addy.

More Photos of Adalyn's Blessing

Jake was "too hot" to help Jeff set up the shade canopy. So he grabbed a popcicle and sat uder the shade. I thought it was a cute photo.
Cute Austin eating Rice that his Aunt Jeff introduced to him. It was a obviously a hit!

Cute picture of Jeff's sister. But a weird picture of Matt - sorry big guy. I still love ya though!

Grandma and Grandpa

Grandma comes to visit

Ryan's Graduation was this past month so Grandma and Grandpa came to visit. I wanted to get a four Generation photo of my kids, me, my mother and my grandmother. I am lucky enough to have a four generation photo with my great grandmother sitting on my buffet. I wanted my kids to have the same. The sentimental value of each of these photos were kind of ruined when Juliana kept screaming, "OWIE!! OWIE!!" and Jake wouldn't stop making those faces that typical six-year-olds make. Oh well, it was worth the effort, I guess. I just don't think I will be framing them! :-)

Well, this isn't a picture of my grandma, but I thought it was a cute photo of my brother Ryan. This is pretty much how he is most of the time - always laughing. In fact, I can hear it now. You are a special person Ry, fry guy! (Special in the good way, not the "special" way!)

More Photos of us Playing

Ryan (the fun uncle) bought Jake a Jack Sparrow Hat. He spent a few hours in the back of Jeff's truck (ie, the Leaky Bucket) playing Pirate. For those of you who don't know, the Wright family is fixated with Pirates. Even Juliana LOVES pirates. The fever is everywhere I guess!

Our neighbors let us borrow this cute bike for Jake. Notice his face. He DID NOT want to go biking. Apparently, he had no choice!! I should have gotten a photo of him AFTER the ride. He really enjoyed it.
My kids have the best Papa ever. He always takes the time to bond with his Grandkids. Here he is starting his magic already. We love you Papa!
